It’s Spring! Time to Clean!
Sure, your office, closet and bathroom cabinet are essentials. But don’t forget about some of the most important areas in need of cleaning: your face, head, stomach, and thighs! Beyond what you purge, Spring Cleaning is also about what you put in. Once you’ve done the detoxing, you need to nourish, replenish, and fortify!

Feeling a little nuts? That may be because you actually need bananas… or potassium in general. Electrolytes such as Potassium, Magnesium and Calcium help deliver oxygen to the brain and are important for the nervous system. If you’re feeling on edge or not thinking straight, eat Papaya, Prunes, Oranges, and Avocado.
Trying to slim down? Here are some foods to eat up! FAT-BURNING- Cinnamon, Szechuan, Jalapeno, Green Tea; FAT-REJECTING- Peanuts, Apples, Soybeans (it’s the lecithin and pectin); FAT BREAKDOWN- Asparagus, Grapefruit, Orange.
HIGH WATER foods can help eliminate excess water (bloat) including asparagus, cucumbers, and lettuce. Increasing your POTASSIUM intake can counterbalance bloat from alcohol, salt or PMS. Try avocado, papaya, spinach, and yogurt.

Yogurt Orange Mask to exfoliate
Yogurt is amazing for your skin. It is filled with lactic acids and milk proteins that moisturize and firm the skin. Greek Yogurt has more protein, naturally active enzymes, and less sugar than other yogurts, making it the best refrigerator facial option. Orange juice and orange peel are very active antibacterials, helping to fight acne, exfoliating dead skin, lightening dark spots, and unveiling your natural glow. Combine 1 tbsp yogurt with ¼ squeezed orange juice and a few spritzes of essence from the peel. Smear it all over your face and let it sit for about 15 minutes. Wash off with warm water. May as well eat a nimble bar- yogurt orange swirl while you wait.
When it comes to fighting and minimizing the appearance of cellulite, it’s all about strengthening connective tissues and improving circulation to help with cell turnover and detoxification. Eating specific foods will certainly help your cause, or you could go directly to the source and spread those foods on your skin instead. Remember, skin is like a sponge, sucking up whatever you put on its surface. It’s time to for it to eat up!
EGG BODY MASK- It’s the lecithin in the yolk that helps to support connective tissues- the same tissues responsible for fending off wrinkles and cellulite, while the egg white help to tighten- almost like a glue- temporarily pulling back some of the slack. You can help by making an egg body mask. Mix 3 egg whites with one egg yolk, stand in the shower or bath, slather the stuff all over your cellulite-affected areas. Let it dry (about 15 minutes). Wash it off.
COFFEE & CAYENNE BODY SCRUB- Coffee grinds help energize and speed up circulation when you drink. Same goes when you rub it on your skin, plus the coarse grinds also of course help to exfoliating, removing dead skin cells and making room for the fresh vibrate layers beneath. Cayenne pepper is known as a fat burning food thanks to its ability to naturally heat up the body, increasing circulation and metabolism. It also helps with cell turnover, getting rid of weak bad skin cells and replacing with strong healthy cells. Combine ½ cup of coffee grounds and 1 tsp cayenne pepper with ¼ cup of nourishing and moisturizing olive oil, then slather the stuff on your butt and thighs. Leave it on for 5 minutes and wash off.
