Celebrities may have the budget for whatever skin treatment they desire (unlike the rest of us), but they don’t always have the time (this we can relate to). But we reap the benefits of their busy schedules because something had to be done about those on location shoots in Mexico, or those last minute red carpet invites and just about every scenario in which it was impossible for stars to book an appointment for their treasured treatments. What was done? Star-skin specialists like Anna Logan from Touch of Faith Aesthetics Skin Care and Waxing Spa in Los Angeles concocted a few treatments that stars can make right in their own home. Or trailer, cabana or wherever they escape from the paparazzi. Here’s a taste:
Anna suggests honey and lemon. Mix the two in a bowl and smooth on to the top of wet hair. Be sure to apply gently with your fingers or a spray bottle so as to avoid getting the lemon on your scalp—not a nice sensation! Allow to sit for ten minutes before rinsing.
Blotches and Breakouts
Combine organic plain yogurt and a capsule of your preferred probiotic in a bowl. This will calm the skin and lessen redness. For a lightening effect, add lemon juice and 1 egg white to the mixture.
Anna creates what she calls a “power c mask”. Blend Ester C Powder and coconut oil for an anti-aging mask. Leave on the skin for 15 minutes before rinsing.
Natural Face Lift
Boil spring water in a saucepan. Ad a teaspoon of salt and allow water to cool to a warm temperature. Use a cotton ball to apply the mixture to your face, avoiding the eye area. Leave on for 5 minutes then saturate the skin by dabbing the face with cotton balls dipped in ice-cold spring water. Repeat for a firm glow!
Glow for All
Blend cucumber, aloe juice, whole fat condensed milk and 1 tablespoon of honey in a bowl. Apply to skin and let sit for 10 minutes before rinsing. This provides an instant glow to all skin types.
Now your skin will be perfect even in your jet setting life. Or rush hour reality.
